I know right, I'd never debate over comments... :). Theologians aren't sure if it is derogatory or not.  It comes from Acts 26 where they said the believers in Antioch were called Christians.  Whether or not they made it up or it was given is a mystery, to my knowledge.</description>

		<description>I like what you've done here. It's a lot better to have a separate blog than have a comment war on someone's site(who would do that?). What's funny is that the term Christian was a derogatory term at first wasn't it? They were called little Christs as a joke in the first days of the church. As you were saying, the original church were called believers. 

As Solomon would say, I think a lot of posts about words and phrases in relation to a church are like chasing after the wind.</description>
